On March 11th, 2010, Austin’s City Council voted for a plan to make Austin a no kill city.  While this was an historic first step, much more work awaits us, like getting funding for many of the items and hiring a nonprofit to run the adoption program.  Much of this work will take place in summer and early fall of 2010.

Here’s how you can help:

1. Send letter to city council thanking them for voting for and passing the no kill plan.  Use this link to email them all at once.  (See sample letter.)
2. Sign up here to join the Austin No Kill Coalition.
3. Wait for word from us to send additional letters or come to Council meetings.
4. Display an Austin No Kill Coalition sticker on your car or business window.

Currently 1,715 people have joined the Coalition as individual supporters!
